Educational Background:

Dr. Hashemipour was born in Montgomery County, Maryland. He was raised in Prince George’s and Montgomery County. Dr. Hashemipour finished his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at the University of Maryland at College Park in 2012. He received his medical degree in 2016 from Howard University in Washington DC. Dr. Hashemipour then joined Rutgers New Jersey Medical School where he completed his internal medicine residency in 2019, gastroenterology & hepatology fellowship in 2022, and advanced endoscopy fellowship in 2023.

In particular, Dr. Hashemipour has expertise in procedures, such as endoscopic suturing, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoluminal stenting, endoscopic mucosal resection, and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented scientific posters at national gastroenterology meetings.

Gastroenterology Medical Practice History:
After his advanced endoscopy fellowship, Dr. Hashemipour moved back to Montgomery County, Maryland, and joined the team at Digestive Care Specialists to provide patients with the best care in advanced gastroenterology.

Dr. Hashemipour is a Board certified gastroenterologist. He specializes in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition and his areas of interest include obesity, biliary disease, pancreatic disease, and colon cancer screening.
